Its coming up to almost exactly a year ago when we stopped meeting for Sunday worship, and whilst we have returned in-between lockdowns, it’ll be great to once again gather for worship.
I was reading again the end of Ephesians recently and was reminded once more that the ’shield of faith’ (ch6 v16) was a large rectangular shield that would only cover your front. To be completely shielded you needed other soldiers around you, with their shields behind you and on top of you.So whilst this season has been a season for us to mature in our faith alone with the Lord, it was never to be a substitute for gathering as a church. Only together can we effectively ’take our stand against the devil’s schemes’ (ch6 v11).
Thank you to all those who have already completed the ‘appetite to return to in-person Sunday worship’ survey.. it’ll help us build a picture of what people want and the PCC will meet via Zoom on the 15th March to make the decision.
