Hello Everyone
I know this is in the newsletter but I just wanted to feedback after last Monday’s DCC at St. Mary’s Wollaston.
Following the government’s announcement last Monday, the church council decided that we should go cautiously with easing restrictions for Sunday church. Infection rates are still high and are increasing… In practice this will mean that until early September we will still be running Cafe Style with tables and refreshments as before. Though there will be no restrictions on numbers we are still asking people to book into services so we can manage numbers, and it will help with the serving of refreshments as well.
Mask wearing will be optional and singing is now permitted though we think it a good idea if people wore masks while singing…To date, no further guidance has come form the Church of England interpreting the governments announcement and applying it to a church context.
Do come back to me with any questions or concerns. It’s a difficult balance – wanting to worship without any restrictions but also wanting to have an environment that people feel is still safe.Do pray for the other church councils, two of which are meeting this week to decide what is

Attached is this week’s newsletter and traditional service…
