The cost of living crisis has again been in the news this week with the Bank of England raising interest rates. This, together with the increase in energy costs and food costs will mean many families will struggle to pay bills over the coming colder winter months.

Don’t forget that we have a ‘Financial Help Fund’ that operates across the Benefice and exists to help congregation members and those known to congregation members. Whilst of course the fund isn’t able to completely take away financial pressures, it may just help alleviate them in the short term. To access the fund, simply speak to me in confidence.

Also, central church has announced this week that every PCC across the country will receive £755 towards the increased cost of energy to heat and light our church buildings, which again, whilst not solving the problem of increased energy bills, it will help a bit 😀

This Sunday we have our usual diet of services across the Benefice, including, as its a first Sunday, Pursuing His Presence at Wollaston at 7pm.
