Children And Families
As a benefice we want to welcome and value children and young people.
Sundays
At St Marys Wollaston, on most Sundays, the children and young people stay in the main service for the first 20mins or so. After this, a small team welcomes children as soon as they are happy to leave their parents and carers, generally three through to the end of year five.
We explore the Bible together, the team working out how much fun we can make each part! Our activities include dramas, prayer stations, crafts, games, and sometimes food.
Our priorities are that the children feel they belong and that they enjoy with us finding out and experiencing the blessings and treasure of knowing the love of Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. they go to their own age-related activities. Visiting children are very welcome to either go out with the other children or stay in the main service with their parent(s)/guardians. The congregation at St. Mary’s is certainly not put off by children moving about or being noisy!
For preschool children, there is the ‘Walker-Pitt’ room at the back of the building, and parents/carers are asked to supervise their children in this area.
If you would like further information on the children’s work at St. Mary’s then please contact: Louise Morton on 01933 664256, or through our contact page
